From trial and error, I have picked up a few things about how to start a fashion blog with WordPress and would love to share some advice that I have learned about getting started.

Step 1: Find a Web Hosting Company for your fashion blog
The creation of a fashion blog starts with one main task, whether you have a little free time and want to create a small blog or have the time to make your blog your main focus. You need to have a way of installing WordPress.
Self-Hosted WordPress Sites
When I mention WordPress, I am talking about using WordPress for a self-hosted site with your own domain name and not the free version available at WordPress.com. The free version simply does not have enough features.
Find Quality Blog Hosting
Now, in order to setup a self-hosted WordPress site, you are going to need to choose a web hosting company.
There are literally thousands of different web hosting companies to choose from. This can make it difficult to find the right web hosting company for your needs.

Choose a Domain Name
I should also mention the importance of picking out the perfect domain name. You are going to want a domain name that is catchy, easy to remember, and represents your style.
Step 2: WordPress Installation
Trust me when I say that you do not need to have any technical knowledge to set up a WordPress site. Like I said earlier, most web hosting companies now offer some type of automated WordPress installation.
Follow the Onscreen Instructions
During the setup process, you will need to input just a few settings:
- Password
- Blog Title
- Blog Description
Then you will be ready to log in into WordPress and start customizing your own fashion blog. Just follow along with the onscreen instructions at your web hosting company to get going.
Step 3: Customizing Your WordPress Fashion Blog
Once you finish the installation and setup it is time to login into your WordPress site. Before you start reviewing the latest trends and blogging about fashion you are going to need to style your WordPress site.
There are several steps to follow once you have WordPress installed:
a) Browse the WordPress Dashboard and Menu Options
Spend some time looking through the WordPress dashboard and look over the various options and menus. Take a look at the Theme settings and browse for a new theme. This will provide the base layer around which you will accessorize your blog.
b) Choose a WordPress Theme
You are going to want a theme that provides a responsive design, meaning it looks good on mobile phones as well as desktops. Installing a new theme is simple, but picking one out can require some consideration. There are basically two options – free themes and premium themes.
Premium Themes Are Safer
I recommend that you spend a little money on a premium theme, as free themes are more likely to have security vulnerabilities and have footer links that cannot be removed.

c) Edit Your Fashion Blog
With your theme in place, it is time to start dressing your site with a different color scheme, a custom header or logo, and helpful fashion articles or reviews.
